Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Santa Maria, CA - Feb 06, 2018 - Victoria Marie Alonso, a retired worker in the mental health field who continues to write about her journey of recovery from schizoaffective disorder and has an active blog where she reaches people around the world, has completed her new book, “Loving God, Suffering and Being in His Will for All”: an awe-inspiring true story of having a joyful heart that recognizes God’s will as perfect in spite of having a schizoaffective disorder.
Alonso shares, “God gave me such a great share of His Spirit at that Easter Vigil Mass so many years ago. It is odd, but I know He gave me schizophrenia, which fractured my mind, causing me to have extreme messages from God to priests, and none of it was true. But then on medicine, it has settled me down, and the suffering has caused me to be holier than ever before, the holy rosary of course being the foundation. So God was good to give me this gift of mental illness, only He understands its full implication, and I rest in that.
I give glory and honor to Him who made heaven and earth! I do not want a God I can understand with my three inches of thought as profound as it may be or fractured depending on which way you look at it.”
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Victoria Marie Alonso’s new book is a captivating book about her experiences, emotions, and thoughts as someone who was diagnosed with a mental disorder—instead of highlighting her suffering, she considers schizoaffective disorder as a gift.
Alonso writes that she still praises the Lord amid her imperfections. She claims in her work that salvation, God’s gift to mankind through Jesus Christ, is greater than her transgressions.
