Press Release (ePRNews.com) - MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Aug 02, 2017 - The Visual Artist Awards announced today its association with America’s Got Talent, NBC’s top rated summer TV show, to find the best projection mapping media acts in the world.
First introduced by Disney®, projection mapping has found its way into theatrical performances, live concerts, gaming, advertising, special events and commercial and high-end residential properties.
Projection mapping is a technique that has dramatically changed the landscape of entertainment, events and advertising by creating fully immersive environments without the need for headsets or bulky glasses as is currently required for most augmented reality and virtual reality experiences.
Working with America’s Got Talent creates huge opportunities for our applicants, as well as the general public, by democratizing an art form that heretofore was found only in a few specialized venues.
Renee Massie, Senior Casting Producer for America’s Got Talent noted that “Projection mapping is fast becoming one of the most exciting forms of entertainment, and America’s Got Talent is searching the globe for the best talent to showcase to our growing audience for AGT’s 13th season and beyond. We are delighted to evaluate the many talented applicants to the Visual Artist Awards.”
America’s Got Talent, founded by Simon Cowell is NBC’s top rated summer TV show and in 2014 was confirmed as the official Guinness World Records title holder for the most successful reality television format.
Daniel Davidson, founder of the Visual Artists Awards, stated that “Working with America’s Got Talent creates huge opportunities for our applicants, as well as the general public, by democratizing an art form that heretofore was found only in a few specialized venues. We are creating a global platform for world class visual artists — and the results are nothing short of spectacular. I strongly believe that projection mapping will soon be ubiquitous.”
The Visual Artist Awards organization: The Visual Artist Awards has been established to be the primary platform of recognition for contemporary visual artists in the field of projection mapping, motion graphics and augmented reality. The organization is now accepting artistic submissions for the VAA2017 Awards Ceremony to take place in Miami Beach.
