Weymouth Mum Starts Plumbing Business – Wednesday

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - WEYMOUTH, England - May 31, 2016 - Jennie Jones is a fully-qualified and Gas Safe plumber. She finished her studies in October last year (2015) following a four-year training course at Kingston Maurward College/Weymouth Colleges.

Jennie’s first job was as a plumbers’ mate for Magna Housing Association, where she helped install central heating into social housing. She then gained more experience through working for local plumbers, before deciding to start her own business.

She is offering a full range of domestic plumbing, from boiler and gas fire servicing to bathroom installs and general repairs.

Easy to spot in her van, which has a pink roof rack, Jennie lives in Weymouth with her two children.  Previously a journalist, she is delighted with her new career.

“Plumbing ticks all the boxes for me,” she said. “I enjoy being practical and mending things. There’s also a demand for female plumbers, and as a self-employed Stopcocks Woman Plumber I can fit my work round family life. I’ve never been happier.”
