Which lucky charity will win $10,000 on Canada Day?!

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - MONTREAL, Quebec - Jun 27, 2016 - This June tens of thousands of Canadians are giving their favourite charities a chance to win $10,000 with the Great Canadian Giving Challenge (GivingChallenge.ca). During this annual event, donations to charities made on the GivingChallenge.ca web site enter the charity in a draw for the grand prize on Canada Day.

According to CanadaHelps and The GIV3 Foundation, organizers of the challenge, last year saw big increases in donations to charities as Canadians showed their support. This year, the campaign is even bigger with more donors and more charities participating.

“In 2015 there were over $6.3M in qualifying donations,” says Lys Hugessen, of The GIV3 Foundation. “Every dollar donated is an entry in the contest and at last count we were on track for double-digit growth again this year.”

Charities and their supporters have taken to social media by the thousands to encourage support for their cause using the #GivingChallengeCa. Many have compelling stories about what their organization could accomplish with an extra $10,000.

There are just a few days left to donate and qualify a charity for the challenge – donations must be made by June 30th to qualify and the winning charity is chosen on July 1st. Participation is easy: you simply go to http://GivingChallenge.ca, search for your favourite charity and make an online donation. Donations qualify for a tax credit and your charity of choice is automatically entered in the challenge.

Will your favourite charity be the big winner on July 1st? Donate to them now on http://GivingChallenge.ca and give them a chance.
