iWave Systems, a Proven Partner of NXP, has brought up the WEC7 (Windows Embedded Compact 7) on NXP’s i.MX7 series processor, providing its support for WEC7 reference Board Support Package (BSP) for NXP’s i.MX7D SDP board. With this expertise, iWave has proved that it can support WEC7 BSP on any i.MX7x based custom boards.

The i.MX7 series is a highly integrated multi-market applications processor designed to enable secure and portable applications within the Internet of Things. The i.MX7 series is the first device in the market utilizing both the ARM® Cortex®-A7 and Cortex-M4 cores for general purpose programmable processing.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 is a componentized, real-time operating system designed for small-footprint devices at the edge of enterprise networks. With support for x86 and ARM architectures, Windows Embedded Compact 7 allows devices to leverage the latest innovations in hardware and equips developers and device manufacturers with the tools they need to create nimble, enterprise-class intelligent system solutions  while reducing time to market.

Windows Embedded Compact 7 on NXP’s i.MX7x Platform:

In future, iWave will support all basic peripherals on i.MX7D SDP board in WEC7 OS, and with its expertise on WEC7 BSP Customization on i.MX series platform, it can support any additional peripherals on i.MX7D SDP, or custom hardware based on i.MX7 series processors.
