Press Release (ePRNews.com) - LAGOS, Nigeria - Nov 14, 2016 - It’s a privilege to receive the World Branding Award on a Global Platform. It means a lot, especially for the staff. It’s the people who build the brands. It’s not a prize for one department, it’s for the organisation. It a real honour for Nigeria. Haresh Keswani, Group Managing Director SPAR Nigeria while receiving award for best Supermarket of 2016-2017 by The World Branding Awards.
SPAR hypermarket was honoured at the fourth edition of the World Branding Awards held in London at the Orangery Kensington Palace, September 2016
The prestigious World Branding Awards is organised by the World Branding Forum (WBF), a global non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing branding standards for the good of the branding community as well as consumers. The World Branding Forum is headquartered in London.
Every year some of the world’s most brands are recognized for their work and achievements in their various industries and regions. In the past, the award ceremonies were held in London and Paris.
Nominees are subjected to a three-tier selection process of brand evaluation, consumer market research and public online voting largely done by consumers and critics. According to the organizers, considerable emphasis is laid upon consumer relations and satisfaction and only brands with high positive consumer interaction emerge winners.
”Today, consumers are more discerning than ever. Having a good product or service alone is insufficient. Brands need to provide memorable brand experience to its customers. The quality of brands competing for the awards are very high. Winners set the standards for what brands need to become in order to win,” Peter Pek,CEO World Branding Forum.
Mr Keswani expressed profound gratitude to the organizers of the Awards and the entire Brand Forum team for putting together a magnificent platform for Brands to be recognized. He stated thus;
“To be voted by customers is special to us in many ways. We have lots of stakeholders, lots of commentators, but one of the toughest audience to convince that you have something worth voting for are your customers. The World Branding Award being largely a customer/public voted award has a highly trustworthy selection process and so we are delighted to be the people’s favourite.”
