Press Release (ePRNews.com) - GLENDALE, Ariz. - Dec 24, 2019 - Rain or shine, World of Illumination, the world’s largest drive-through animated light show, is open nightly through Jan. 5, 2020, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The family-friendly attraction returned for its third year to Tempe Diablo Stadium, while debuting at a brand new spot in Glendale — the Westgate Entertainment District. Both locations feature nearly 2 million lights, with shows that are fully synchronized to popular and beloved holiday music.
Exclusive to the new Glendale location is a 36-foot tall animated Snowman — also the largest in the world — while Tempe boasts a 500-foot long super tunnel of lights. Both experiences are approximately one mile long and take about 25 minutes to complete.
“We know families often look for things to do after opening presents and having Christmas dinner,” said Yakir Urman, co-founder of World of Illumination. “So it was important to us to be open every night through the holidays so that — no matter the weather — people can enjoy the kind of fun, memorable activity that brings families together.”
While both Glendale and Tempe have the same number of RBG LED lights that can be customized to 16 million shades of color, the shows feature different elements so visitors can enjoy a distinct experience at each location. This year, World of Illumination also introduced a 3D component to its experience and is also one of the most energy-efficient light shows on the planet.
World of Illumination is open nightly, including holidays, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weeknights and 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends through Jan. 5, 2020. Ticket prices range from $22.99 per vehicle on weeknights to $32.99 per car on weekends and holidays and can be purchased at www.worldofillumination.com. A portion of proceeds benefits Make-A-Wish – Arizona.
With offices in Scottsdale, Arizona, World of Illumination is the world’s largest animated holiday light show, featuring millions of state-of-the-art lights and displays set to holiday music. It was named by Forbes in 2019 as Arizona’s best holiday light display in a listing of the 50 best light displays in the United States. Connect at @worldofillumination.
