India Gaming Show 2024 Commences in Pune, Emphasizing Growth of Indian Gaming Community
Mar 15, 2024: The India Gaming Show 2024, jointly organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), with support from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Invest India, and Media Entertainment Skill Council, has begun in Pune, Maharashtra. Running from March 14 to March 16, 2024, at the Messe Global Laxmi Lawns, the event brings together gaming enthusiasts, industry leaders, and companies from 10 countries, including India.
Pune, known for its vibrant startup ecosystem and prestigious educational institutions, hosts around 50 gaming companies, making it an ideal location for the show. Mr. Rajan Navani, President of IDGS, expressed optimism about the event, highlighting India’s growing prominence in the global gaming market, which is projected to reach USD 665.77 billion by 2030.
The India Gaming Show 2024 features workshops, panel discussions, and fireside chats covering various aspects of the gaming industry. Topics include the impact of gamification on education, the evolving landscape of gaming influencers in India, the economics of esports, and the future of PC/console gaming in the country.
With participation from countries like Australia, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea, the event aims to promote cross-cultural exchange and collaboration within the gaming community. Attendees can explore the latest gaming accessories, software, and hardware at booths set up by leading gaming firms, while competitive gamers can showcase their skills in esports tournaments across different platforms.
