Cleveland, OH - Jul 26, 2025 - Multi-platinum artist Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) has released his latest single, “Miss Sunshine“, a vibrant summer anthem that blends southern rock’s soulful twang with modern pop’s glossy finish. The track, accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by Sam Cahill, is the third single from MGK’s forthcoming album, Lost Americana, set to drop on August 8, 2025, via EST 19XX/Interscope Records.
“Miss Sunshine” captures the essence of a carefree road trip, with lyrics like, “Roll the windows, roll one up, let’s make a spaceship / Where’s the volume? Turn it up, who got the playlist?” evoking a sense of freedom and rebellion. The song’s psychedelic-tinged vibe is amplified by its music video, where MGK and his band appear as giants in a meticulously crafted miniature world, perfectly complementing the track’s uplifting energy. MGK credits the song’s inspiration to LSD, noting on social media, “We have LSD to thank for this one.”
The single follows the previously released tracks “Cliché” and “Vampire Diaries,” building anticipation for Lost Americana, which MGK announced with a trailer narrated by Bob Dylan. The album promises to showcase MGK’s genre-blending versatility, weaving elements of rap, punk, hip-hop, and country. Fans got a sneak peek of “Miss Sunshine” during a spontaneous Twitch session, where MGK played the track in the background, prompting an enthusiastic response that led to its official release.
MGK is also gearing up for a busy schedule, headlining the 30th Anniversary Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, Florida, on November 15-16, and performing at the Mobile Zone at Sphere Stage during the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 20-22. Additionally, he’s hosting his annual MGK Day weekend in Cleveland, a three-day celebration of music, art, philanthropy, and community events.
“Miss Sunshine” is available now on all major streaming platforms, including YouTube and SoundCloud. For more information on MGK’s upcoming album and tour dates, visit machinegunkelly.com or follow @machinegunkelly on social media.
