(Nasdaq: MU) revealed its latest advancement in mobile storage technology, announcing the qualification samples of an enhanced version of its Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.0 solution. This groundbreaking offering comes in the world’s most compact UFS package, measuring just 9×13 millimeters (mm), setting a new standard for next-generation smartphones.
Micron’s UFS 4.0 solution, built on advanced 232-layer 3D NAND technology, boasts up to 1 terabyte (TB) capacity and delivers unparalleled performance, significantly enhancing user experiences on flagship smartphones. With sequential read and write speeds of up to 4300 and 4000 megabytes per second (MBps) respectively, Micron UFS 4.0 accelerates data-intensive tasks, enabling faster app launches and smoother AI interactions.

Micron’s firmware innovation further enhances the user experience, with features like High-Performance Mode (HPM), One Button Refresh (OBR), and Zoned UFS (ZUFS).
