About Body Art Training Group
Since 2008, the Body Art Training Group has offered on-site bloodborne pathogens training for body art professionals. These courses provide training as required by OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030; California’s CCR Title 8, Sec. 5193; and California's Safe Body Art Act (AB 300).
In 2010, the Body Art Training Group began offering classes online at http://www.bodyarttraininggroup.com and at http://www.yourtrainingplace.com.
These online classes are specifically designed for the body art industry and are suitable for all types of body art professionals: tattoo artists, piercers, permanent cosmetics technicians, electrologists, and body modification practitioners. Upon finishing one of these online courses, a certificate of completion can be immediately printed.
In 2013, the Body Art Training Group created www.ecipp.com. This is a website that helps body art shop owners create a customized shop safety plan that includes an Exposure Control and Infection Prevention Plan (ECIPP) and an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). If a body art shop is located in California, an Infection Protection Control Plan (IPCP) is also included.
