About IAGHS

IAGHS – The International Academy for Genealogical and Heraldic Studies is a private non-governmental autonomous research organisation under the Patronage and Honorary Presidency of H.E. Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the IAGHS is to promote and encourage the study and knowledge of Genealogy, Heraldry, Armory, Chivalry and Diplomacy through research and activities among scholars and others with an interest in these subjects from all nations of Europe and from countries throughout the world.

Our activities include:
⋆ Seasonal monthly webinars;
⋆ Publishing a bimonthly newsletter, The IAGHS Journal, for the benefit of members;
⋆ Organising annual ceremonial event;
⋆ Organising in alternate years a Congress with international guest speakers;
⋆ Maintaining website as a think tank platform for exchanging ideas and sharing opinions in various topics related to Genealogy, Heraldry, Armory, Chivalry and Diplomacy.

Vision Statement:
IAGHS vision is to become the most authoritative and objective private, non-governmental, autonomous source of record for specialists, researchers and state functionaries charged with responsibility in Genealogy, Heraldry, Armory, Chivalry and Diplomacy.
