Apr 13, 2024: Softlink Global Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with a renowned engineering college in Maharashtra, unveils LogiTHON, India’s premier logistics hackathon, with the goal of transforming the logistics industry through innovation and technology. The event seeks to propel the sector into a new era of efficiency and dynamism by harnessing the creative potential of students and cutting-edge technology.

Amit Maheshwari, CEO of Softlink Global, emphasizes the significance of LogiTHON in shaping the future of the logistics sector, which serves as the backbone of the economy. He envisions a future where student-led innovation drives a technologically advanced logistics ecosystem, with LogiTHON serving as a catalyst for this transformation.

Amidst the backdrop of a post-pandemic recovery, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) identifies logistics as a vital sector for job creation in India. With the exponential growth of e-commerce and the nation’s emphasis on manufacturing, the demand for skilled professionals in logistics has reached unprecedented levels. LogiTHON aims to address this demand by engaging engineering students in tackling real-world challenges facing the industry.

With over 1500 registrations received, LogiTHON has selected 57 exceptional teams to compete in the final round scheduled for April 19th & 20th. Participants will tackle critical issues such as developing Intelligent Warehouse Management Systems, optimizing routes for global trade, and leveraging AI for data conversion and analysis.

Beyond the competition, LogiTHON aims to foster a culture of innovation among students, empowering them to become pioneers in the logistics sector. By nurturing talent and promoting entrepreneurship, LogiTHON is poised to drive economic growth and innovation in India and beyond, concludes Maheshwari.
