Ember Earns Silver for Its Sleek Design at the 2017 IDSA IDEA Awards

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Westlake Village, California - Aug 29, 2017 - Ember Technologies, the leader in consumer-facing temperature control technology and creator of the world’s first temperature controlled mug, took home top honors at the 2017 International Designers Society of America (IDSA) International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). On August 19 at the 2017 IDSA International Design Conference in Atlanta, the company was named as a Silver IDEA Award winner in the Kitchen & Accessories category, demonstrating the way Ember continues to rack up awards for its innovation and design.

Design experts from around the world judge the international design competition, sponsored annually by IDSA. Criteria include design innovation, user experience, benefit to the client, benefit to society, and appropriate aesthetics. Ember worked closely with design firm Ammunition Group on the development of the Ember mug.

“Ember solves a simple, yet universal challenge faced by coffee and tea drinkers everywhere: keeping a hot beverage at the ideal temperature for an extended period of time,” says Clay Alexander, founder & CEO of Ember Technologies. “We wanted to show how a mug could be a work of art, beautifully designed and an object of desire. We worked hard to bring this product to life and Ammunition worked with us every step of the way. It’s an incredible honor to be recognized by such an esteemed organization as IDSA.”
