European Wax Center Franchisee Dean Kapneck Poised for Expansion Following Company’s Record-Setting First Quarter 2017

Now responsible for the operation of six European Wax Center (EWC) locations, Dean Kapneck and former wife, Audrey Klein, have experienced considerable success.

With plans to open an additional four locations over the next two years, Kapneck isn’t hesitant to give credit where credit is due.

Kapneck also credits Klein as the heart and soul of the six-location operation.

“She leads by example,” says Kapneck. “Her kindness and generosity have created a sense of loyalty that is positive as well as contagious. The employees call her about everything from boyfriend issues to opening savings accounts.”

In addition to employing more than 200 people throughout their Maryland and New Jersey locations, Kapneck and Klein are proud to have Jake, their son, work alongside them. Now an integral addition to their operation, Jake Kapneck was initially apprehensive about coming on board.

“I wasn’t crazy about getting into the business of beauty four years ago; however, when I took a step back, I realized I was in the middle of a tremendous opportunity; it was a no-brainer to be all in,” says Jake. “Working with my dad and mom has taught me all aspects of running a business with multiple locations. I am now confident I can steer any company to success.

“We get one chance to show our guests how awesome we are,” says Klein. “I tell the girls: Make your guest feel the way you would want to feel as if you were coming in for a service. YOU DON’T GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION.”
