The app, renamed MindLight, is available on the web and for iPhone and Android.

- The NEW CHAT feature allows for easier team collaboration right inside the app to keep all of your caregiving conversations confidential and in one place! Enhance search has also been added to include chat conversations.
- The NEW DOWNLOAD feature allows for easier integration into a working families typical calendar system. You can manage it all in the app or you can download appointments or tasks to your favorite calendar.

Commitment to Caregivers
MindLIght made a commitment early in their development to ensure they listened to caregivers feedback as they updated the app and included new features. The name Iriis, while filled with deep meaning for the company, was confusing for caregivers and hard to find in app stores. They renamed the app to MindLight to make it easier to find. They also updated the color palette to better suit the requests of our caregiving community.
“Being a caregiver sometimes feels like checking items off and adding items on to a giant to-do list that never seems to end,” says Schwabe. “The challenge is caregivers have so much to do and keep track of that the list ends up in a purse or wallet or back of a receipt or even sometimes eaten by the dog. We wanted to simplify the efforts needed to maintain this busy schedule, so MindLIght consolidates all those lists into one location, allowing us to see a full picture of all the tasks that we need to get done.”
MindLight allows caregivers to coordinate tasks and appointments and even assign those tasks to others. Caregivers can collaborate with others by creating a team and then coordinating and assigning important work or chatting in the team chat area. The app also acts as a virtual file cabinet to store and collect information caregivers want available for other members of the team.
With Mindlight, information can be shared and tasks and appointments assigned, making coordination easy and effective. Because it’s both a web and mobile app, information can be shared between the two so at home or on the go, the information is right at the caregiver’s fingertips.
