Press Release (ePRNews.com) - USA - Sep 25, 2019 - Rotary Youth Exchange is helping teens and young adults to explore learning opportunities, safely, conveniently and affordably. An offshoot of Rotary International, Rotary Youth Exchange offers long-term and short-term youth exchanges in 100 countries and 5 continents. The short-term exchanges range from a couple of days to three months in duration while the long-term ones stretch for a full academic year. The short-term exchanges take place in summers when the school session is not underway and are usually structured as camps, tours, or homestays. The long-term exchanges allow participants to stay with host families and attend local schools.
The spokesperson at Rotary Youth Exchange recently stated, “Virtual interactions are fine but real interactions matter more, especially in the formative years. When a youngster is exposed to different cultures, lifestyles, and geographies, his/her purview broadens, and he/she looks at life with a fresh perspective. The youngster learns a new language, acquires leadership skills, gets accustomed to different thought processes and creates lasting friendships to be cherished for a lifetime. At Rotary Youth Exchange, we are providing real interaction opportunities to 15 to 19-year-olds with High School Abroad, Gap Year Abroad, and Summer Abroad programs.”
Rotary Youth Exchange is providing exchange student hosting avenues to families globally. The host families can bring in international experience directly into their home and wheel in decent remunerations as well by hosting an exchange student. The organization provides training to the host families on the nitty-gritty of being a perfect host to students from a different background, culture, ethnicity, and upbringing. The host has to provide room, food, and board to the foreign student and involve him/her in the family, community, and cultural activities. Interested families can get in touch with their local Rotary Club for more information.
On the Gap Year Abroad exchanges, the spokesperson further stated, “Gap Year Abroad program is designed to provide maximum exposure to any boy or girl aged between 14 and 19 years. The program primarily focuses on the current high school students aspiring to study abroad but graduates from any US or Canadian high schools with similar aspirations can also apply. The exchange helps promote cultural understanding and learn a new language and equips participants with essential skillsets for a global citizen. The participant stays with 2 or 3 handpicked host families and studies in a local school for a full academic year.”
The Gap Year Travel Programs also provide ample opportunities to explore the best sights, sounds, and smells of the host country. The program is sponsored by Rotary Youth Exchange’s parent organization, The Rotary International and hence, highly competitive prices apply. The participant’s food, lodging, and school fees are covered in the program fee but out of the pocket expenses are required for round-trip airfare, travel insurance, additional travel or tours, and travel documents, including, passports and visas. 24/7/365 worldwide emergency assistance is also provided.
