Rotary Youth Exchange Providing High School Abroad Program for Personality Development
Rotary Youth Exchange is offering High School Abroad programs for 15 to 19-year-olds across 100 countries for the personality development of participants.
Press Release (ePRNews.com) - USA - Dec 11, 2019 - Rotary Youth Exchange has a reputation for offering well-designed and well-executed foreign student exchanges. The exchanges are categorized as High School Abroad and Gap Year Abroad programs. Each program is enriching, safe and comfortable. The organization takes care of the participant’s accommodation, meals, tours, and everything else during the entire stay abroad. The programs are sponsored by Rotary International and hence, are easy on the pocket for participants. Rotary Youth Exchange also provides 24/7/365 worldwide emergency assistance for the program’s entire duration. The idea is to keep the participant away from harm’s way.
The spokesperson at Rotary Youth Exchange recently stated, “Exchanges are underrated as a personality development tool. They draw participants out of their comfort zones, exposing them to new cultures and new people. The exposure helps them evolve into a well-rounded personality ready to take the challenges of life frontally. The student learns new languages and develops leadership and other skills essential for success. He/she also has an opportunity to interact with new people and develop lasting bonds. Our exchanges also enable students to get up, close and personal with the host country’s natural splendor and historical heritage.”
The High School Abroad and Gap Year Abroad exchanges are long-term programs. The student studies for a full academic year in the host country, living with a couple of carefully handpicked host families. On the other hand, Summer Abroad is a short-term program, structured as camps, tours, and homestays. The program lasts from several days to three months and conducted only when the schools are closed for summer vacation. Rotary Youth Exchange ensures broad eligibility criteria and a simple application process. The student should be aged between 15 and 19 years, be a leader in his/her school and community, and should be inclined to adapting, learning, and assimilating. Applications are processed through local Rotary Clubs.
On High School Study Abroad Programs, the spokesperson further stated, “The High School Study Abroad Program is a flagship program of Rotary Youth Exchange. Any boy or girl between 15 and 19 years is eligible for participation in this long-term program. The student will study at a local school in the host country and become proficient in the local language. His/her accommodation needs are well catered to, as he/she will be living with trained host families. The host families will ensure the student’s involvement in the community and cultural causes. The point is to ensure the student’s development as a bicultural and bilingual individual with a broad purview.”
Like any Rotary Youth Exchange program, the High School Abroad Programs are also sponsored by Rotary International. As such, the student’s room, board and school fees are covered. The student has to make out of pocket expenses for Round-trip airfare, travel insurance, travel documents, such as passports and visas and costs of any additional travel or tours.
