The sudden passing of Anthony “Tony” Liuzzi, a valued friend and colleague to the entire Craig Zinn Automotive Group family, came as a shock to everyone who knew him. Liuzzi, 69, was many things; a devoted husband, father, and dedicated community law enforcement advocate, whose personality was larger than life. He joined the Craig Zinn Automotive Group in 2006, where he served as the Loss Prevention and Asset Management Director, overseeing assets, inventories, and facilities. Liuzzi was responsible for all internal and external security and compliance; he worked closely with State and Federal agencies concerning Automotive industry regulations. He also worked with law enforcement agencies across the Tri-County area, investigating fraud and theft cases.
“Tony was a hard-working man who loved his family and was deeply admired in our community. It’s a tragic loss; he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” said Craig Zinn, Founder and CEO of the Craig Zinn Automotive Group, who reflected on their 45-year friendship.
For many years, Liuzzi served the Police Athletic League (PAL) Program. With the support of the Craig Zinn Automotive Group’s sponsorships, he was able to help thousands of children in our local community. Liuzzi was a true community champion who deeply cared about his community and earned numerous awards for his efforts.
Liuzzi had a passion for Boxing and was very active in the boxing community. He hosted the Boxing Event Heroes in Action for many years, benefiting children’s programs in our community.
Liuzzi was known for his no-nonsense approach to everything he took on. He gave his all 100% of the time and was an amazing coworker, father, husband, and friend. All of those who worked with Liuzzi in local law enforcement, the Boxing community, or CZAG will forever cherish their friendship, professionalism, and time spent together.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only family members and close friends were invited to attend the memorial in person. The Craig Zinn Automotive Group and the Liuzzi’s family would like to thank the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the Davie Police Department, the City of Hollywood Firs Rescue and Beach Safety, the North Miami Police Department, and the Hollywood Police Department for their professionalism, attention to detail, and positive disposition in which they assisted in honoring the memory of Anthony “Tony” Liuzzi.
