How To Register For NEET?

NEET(National Entrance cum Eligibility Test) is a national level medical entrance exam where lakhs of students attempt the exam every year. While some get through the exams, some fall short by some marks and apply for NEET next year. The applications received this time around has been overwhelming, as many as 15.93 lakh students are anticipated to appear for NEET 2020.

The NTA(National testing Agency) is the regulatory body for NEET. It is responsible for the conduction of these exams and hands over the results to the Directorate General of Health Science (DGHS) and the Ministry of Health and Family welfare.

 

NTA releases the NEET Online form and declares the same in its official notice wherein students are expected to fill in the form thereby initiating the process. It also requires students to pay fees as specified within the stipulated time and submit the form.

 

Aspirants are expected to commence the NEET Registration process by filling out the application form via the online mode. Candidates are expected to first go through the set of instructions and eligibility criteria mentioned in the information brochure before filling out the form. The step-by-step procedure is as specified below:

 

First Step

 

●    Look up for the NEET official website – ntaneet.nic.in

●    Locate the NEET Registration link

●    Check the “I agree” tab accepting all the terms and conditions, finally click on submit

 

Second Step

 

Fill up the form by providing details such as:

❏    Name of the candidate

❏    Name of the father

❏    Name of the mother

❏    Date of birth

❏    Valid and working e-mail id of the candidate and phone number

❏    Click on submit

 

Note: These details must be same as that appearing in the Class 10 Marksheet

 

Third Step

After confirming the above-mentioned details, one must fill up the address and other academic details. Following are the fields to be filled up:

 

●    Personal details (Nationality, Gender, Category, Aadhaar number)

●    Information of birthplace (Address, State, District)

●    Previous Year attempts (if any)

●    Contact details – phone number, mail-id

●    Domicile of Aspirant

●    Parents’ details

●    Academic details

 

Aspirants can pick the city of the examination centre. A maximum of four centres can be selected and mentioned in the application form. Candidates are required to create a password in order to log in. Before clicking on the “submit” button, check the details entered.

 

Fourth Step

Upon successful submission of the NEET Online form, a registration number is generated. Candidates must make note of this number for future references.
