Plan C Studios: Reliance Entertainment’s latest production co-venture

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - NEW DELHI, India - Feb 09, 2016 - Anil Ambani led Reliance Entertainment keeps adding to its already impressive list of collaborations. Its latest co-venture is with director Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia’s Friday Filmworks to form Plan C Studios.

Neeraj Pandey’s directorial debut “A Wednesday” which received rave reviews and a National Award, established him in the industry. His following films “Special 26” and “Baby” also met critical acclaim and did well at the box office. However, his next film is the one everybody is waiting for because it is a biography of Indian Cricket Team’s iconic captain M S Dhoni.

Plan C Studios is all set to be an exciting production venture because it will get the blend of Friday Filmworks’ creative edge as well as Reliance Entertainment’s global distribution and marketing.

The studio’s first film will be Rustom, a period film directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and starring Akshay Kumar. Films helmed by Shivam Nair, Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Anurag Singh, Anvita Dutt and Shree Narayan Singh will follow along with the screen adaptation of Neeraj Pandey’s novel Ghalib Danger.

Reliance Entertainment has produced, distributed and released more than 170 films in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali etc. Its collaboration with iconic director Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Studios has produced some remarkable films over the last 7 years and their recent co-procution, Bridge of Spies has grabbed 6 Oscar nominations including Best Picture and Best Director.
