SkyDroner was launched by TeleRadio at The Commercial UAV Show Asia 2016, held in Singapore early this September. The new anti-drone system combined various advance technologies. SkyDroner is thus a complete defensive solution for detecting, detracting and disabling any invading drone.

SkyDroner is able to detect drones activities within a range of 1km. Upon detection, the system generates alert and switches into detracting mode. When in detracting mode, SkyDroner may freeze the video transmission of the drone or issue a home command, sending the drone back to its operator or land it at a predesignated location. In the event that multiple drones are detected, SkyDroner can activate the disabling mode to discontinuous all communication link between all drones and their operators. SkyDroner also provided real time location update of the done and its operator position. It also provide a flying footprint for investigation purposed.

Technical Director of Teleradio, Mr Ho Min Hui, said that the development of SkyDroner is one of the most challenging projects, as compared to the UVSS (Under Vehicle Surveillance System) or Vehicle X Ray system which the company has developed over the past 20 years. He cites the complexity of adopting different technologies catered to detect different drone’s models as the challenge.
